Elsie started contractions and pushing at 2:00 a.m. (2.5 hours after her water broke).
And Little Miss Pink made her appearance at 2:20 a.m. (in sac, but without placenta still attached). Her placenta still hasn't shown.
Pink weighs in at a whopping 1 pound 0.5 ounces (0.462 kg), has a strong sucking reflex, a hearty little squeak, and is now very active (it took a few seconds to get her rolling). She's nursed, is all cleaned up, and is sporting her pink rick rack.
At 3:05 a.m. Elsie started pushing again (DH is ready to catch!), and at 3:09 Master Blue made his grand and quick appearance, weighing in at 1 pound 1.25 ounces. Here's Master Blue nursing for the first time:
He's quieter than Pink, but squirmy and squeaky and with a strong suckle, too.
Both Miss Pink and Master Blue are a medium yellow, but Blue is a tad bit lighter in color than Pink.
Elsie started pushing again at 3:33, and it's 4:10 now, and still no number 3 (should be popping soon!). :o)
That's it for now. :o)
Will check in when we have more to tell!
Until then,
Joan
