First Puppy Outdoor Adventure: On the Deck

So while I was away this weekend it finally warmed up enough for the pups to go outdoors.  Unfortunately, on Saturday it warmed up almost too much (hit 90 degrees F), so DH took the pups out in the morning before it got too hot.

The pups, at first, were very tentative, but then seemed to relax. It was, however, pretty warm -- something the pups are not used to. When they went outdoors a second time, the next day, they seemed far more comfortable.

Here's a photo summary (courtesy of DH) of their romping for the first time outdoors (notice the popularity of the water bowl):

Yes... they're rough-housing now. But no worries. If it gets too rough, somebody yelps and the other backs off. :)  It's all part of their development and their canine socialization. :)

Once they're comfortable on the deck, we'll introduce the grass. :)  That's always an adventure.  AND if the weather warms up again, we'll introduce the kiddie pool!  :)

The pups are all thriving, and it looks like we have five of the pups placed with wonderful forever families.  That means we have four left to place (two black girls and both black boys). I just registered the litter at AKC, so we're not worried. The right homes are out there for them. :)

So far so good.

'Til next time,
Joan

They have gotten so BIG! What fun to see them playing on the deck. And you can tell it's hot from all the pink tongues hanging out!

I can't believe how fast they turned into puppies. They are all adorable and although I love my Hope, I sure have puppy fever now after seeing those pictures!
