Mr. Green Makes Seven

At 10:42 p.m. (2.5 hours after the previous pup), Mr. Green made his grand debut!

Strong and mouthy (like Miss Pink) from the minute he came out, he seems to be one of the bigger pups of the lot (again, like Miss Pink).  He weighed in at 14 oz. and is our only chocolate boy so far.

Here he is:

And here are a few more of Mr Green (no rick-rack collar on him yet) being cleaned up by ... the now.... Super Mom Kenya!

Of course, there are more photos and a few videos-with-audio clips to upload. Just don't have the margin to do that just yet.

And if Dr. Wagner's read of the x-rays is exact, Kenya has one more pup to deliver.  I suspect she might have one more (perhaps 2) beyond that (as I look closely at the x-ray).  I'd be thrilled with just eight (ha.... "just"... eight is plenty!).  But nine or ten is just fine, too.

As long as they're healthy, and we can keep them that way.

So... the counts so far are these:

3  chocolate coats
4  black coats

3 boys (2 black, 1 chocolate)
4 girls  (2 black, 2 chocolate)

We still have a little ways to go, but we're almost there!

WTG, Kenya!  And she's a super Mom... instincts have kicked in solidly!  Yay!

Right now Kenya is clearly uncomfortable again, so she's very happy to have the pups hanging out in the warming box. :)  I am too... then I don't have to worry about possible smothering issues (another topic for another day).

I think we're in the home stretch.

So far so good. :)

Keep your positive thoughts and prayers headed our way!  Thanks!

'Til next update,
Joan
